Knowing the loving God.. is it possible?
Isn’t God in heaven and we are way down here on earth?
Isn’t He too far for us to reach?
Isn’t He a fierce God, ready to strike us when we sin and punish us with sickness and disease?
Isn’t He causing all these natural disasters, the tsunami that killed so many innocent people?
You say He is a God full of wrath.
If all of these above are what you believe and think, you are miserably not knowing God and you missed God big time.
God is Love. There is no evil in Him.
He is merciful, compassionate, love-enduring, He is absolutely good!
If you sin? Just come boldly to the throne of God, confess your sins, He is just and faithful,
He will forgive you and cleanse you.
If you keep coming to him with the same sins?
No worry, He is slow to anger, and His mercy and grace is abundant.
He will forgive you with all you are if you will just come to Him.
How come, you ask?
Are we wasting His grace and goodness, by doing sins again and again?
Absolutely not. He who loves God in return, will not have the capacity to do sins anymore.
He is a new creature in Christ Jesus.
But still, He will forgive you, even though you keep sinning.
Jesus said that we need to forgive others 70×7 times, that is 490 times, which literally means you keep forgiving others that do harm and evil to you.
He even told us to give our other cheeks.
If He commands us to forgive others, will He not forgive us too?
Or maybe you think He will say, now child, this is your 491 times already you are doing the same sins again and again, I won’t forgive you this time, My mercy is up. That’s it, no more forgiveness for you anymore.
Do you still want to follow and love this kind of God?
If He won’t forgive you, that means He is violating His Word, cause He said, when you confess your sins, He forgives and don’t even remember them anymore.
So it doesn’t make sense that He is counting how many times you are doing the same sins again, cause He chooses to forget the sins you confess.
But thank God, He is good, for His mercy endureth forevermore.
People tend to teach the wrath of God, cause they don’t know the everlasting goodness of God.
It is church doctrine!
It is easy to scare people by saying God is angry with you.
He is so mad with you that He has given you this trouble, that trouble, this sickness, that accident, for you to learn and keep Him in remembrance.
He wants you to beg and plead for forgiveness, fast until you feel good about yourself and you think God is ready to forgive you.
Cmon, think! “Let us reason together”, said the Lord God Almighty. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18).
If He is that evil, why He had to send Jesus, died for us, for the redemption of our sins, sickness, poverty, sorrows then cast us out?
You are thinking, “He loves me, He loves me not,” when you sin and you want to come back to Him, but afraid that He won’t accept and receive you back anymore.
There is no judgment in Christ Jesus, for we are living in a better covenant era than the old one, which they lived by Law.
He who lives by Law will be judged by Law, which is impossible to live with.
Law is for sinners and non-believers, but now we live under His grace and the love of God.
I tell you now, He is absolutely and greater good, His mercy endureth forever!
Just come boldly and ask for His mercy and forgiveness, He will deliver you.
Ask for His help to not sinning again, cause you can’t do it on your own strength, you need His power.
You need Holy Spirit, you need Him.
There are no such things that you sin by mistakes or not intentionally.
You deliberately walk in sin.
Guard your eyes, cause they can be a trap for sins.
Pluck it out, He said if they cause you to lust and sin.
Cut your hands off, if they cause you to sin.
It is better to go to heaven with one eye or one arm than going to hell with the whole complete body.
Starve your sinful nature and habits, by doing this, the power of sins will become weaker and weaker, and finally died out.
The Truth shall set you free!
Know this, every born-again believer has the Holy Spirit reside in them.
Yield to Him daily, listen and obey Him.
Change! And renew your minds and thinkings with the Word of God.
Cast down all evil and sinful imagination and thinkings before they become stronger and stronger, that at last will manifest and make you sin and later will lead to destructions.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
The devil has no power over you, for he is a defeated foe.
Control your self and think of everything pure, good and acceptable to Him.
Walk in Spirit and Truth, the Word of God.
Commune with Him daily, every moment.
This is the faith that overcomes the world (your sins and flesh).
Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”
What did He command us? Listen to Mark 12:30-31.
The first command is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
Will you cheat on your wife or husband when you love him and her? NO!
Will you let your son died without food or drink if you love him? NO!
Will you sin and do things that are not right in His eyes if you love Him? NO!
So before you sin, think of His love, think of His faithfulness.
If you are in love with Him, you’ll do anything to please Him.
By getting to know Him better, by loving Him more, by getting closer to Him, you will be more like Jesus, and at that time, you won’t even think of doing sins and wasting His love, cause there is just no room anymore for sins, cause you have been overwhelmed by His love and goodness.
Lord Jesus, you are so wonderfully good!
